Mentorship Matters is a one-year intensive mentoring program for emerging TV writers of color. Mentees will be new writers who don’t have access to the television business. They will be put with a top-level showrunner (TV Writer/Producer) who will spend a year with them, honing their material, introducing their mentee to their agent and manager, etc. The ultimate goal is to get new, underrepresented writers into TV Writers’ rooms so they will ultimately create original television series with their unique voice and vision.
