Athari Docs is an exploration of life and topics in contemporary East Africa through short creative documentaries. The pilot season of 6×24 minute films explore environmental, science, history and cultural issues in Kenya and Uganda. The project seeks to explore these issues using a mix of character-led narratives, non-linear storylines and animation techniques. It aims to go a step beyond stories in the news cycle and agenda driven non-governmental fundraising pieces.
