In a small town in Eastern Canada, Hate follows the stories of two neighboring families as they interweave over the course of one day, which is foreshadowed by tragedy. The story explores the themes of community, what it means to be a first-generation citizen in a new country, and the islamophobia born through the proliferation of targeted news stories.
