PENNIES FROM HEAVEN
Pennies from Heaven is a documentary film highlighting the Ojibwe women in Minnesota. It tackles the issues of sex trafficking, missing and murdered indigenous women, and generational trauma in the Native communities. These communities have developed their own methods of healing. Through traditional practices, community engagement, and art. Pennies from Heaven shows the groups of activist women, as well as the women who have persevered and found strength in their community and in their art. The Native people have blossomed and grown from the ashes time and time again.
