The Hidden Cost of Climate Stress on Human Talent is a 2-episode XR documentary series that puts you inside the lives of people whose skills and dreams are being pushed out by climate stress.
We’re focusing on Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Los Angeles, USA. Two places, two climate realities, one problem. Episode 1 follows Idama, a riverine community where gas flaring is eating through roofs, wiping out the only library and chemistry lab, and forcing teachers and students to leave. Episode 2 follows South LA, where heat, food deserts, and displacement are pushing young creatives and at-risk youth to the edge.
We tell this through WebXR, VRChat, and mobile AR. You stand in a leaking lab. You hear what it sounds like when a talent gets put on hold. You see how the same pressure shows up in Port Harcourt and LA.
Over 12 months and $100,000, the project delivers the XR series and connects people to the right visibility to major stakeholders while accessing real-time help.
