EDUCATION
In todays’s digital landscape it is crucial to provide youth with media literacy and critical thinking skills.
By providing educators with authentic, diverse, high-quality, and expert-vetted teaching tools, we empower over 140,000 students with the skills, the global perspectives and cross-cultural awareness to shape a more just, informed and connected world.
AWARDS
The social issue documentary market offers limited opportunities for emerging talent and underrepresented international voices.
With entries from over 140 countries, we create a launchpad for filmmakers of all backgrounds, opening doors to industry recognition and high-impact distribution opportunities. SIMA supports Oscar-winning productions as well as those that bypass traditional festival circuits and visibility, ensuring unique and diverse stories reach global audiences.
COMMUNITY CINEMA
We bring SIMA selected films to over 30 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
By empowering communities to come together through film events and discussions, we spark crucial dialogues, build coalitions , and facilitate local
impact projects that change lives.
