Receive a stage announcement with a video of your event at the 2019 Council Summit in Morocco, and access to 12 films for your year-round community engagement. The World Merit Council Winner will receive a $500 cash prize for future events. (NOTE: Cash Prize for Councils ONLY)

LET'S GET STARTED

STEP 1 SIGN UP

  • Sign Up to Participate
  • Within 72 hours you will receive a WELCOME KIT including: Community Screening Guidebook , Screening Contract, Link + Password to access SIMA’s online film library to choose at least 1 of the 17 SDG films you wish to screen.

STEP 2 SELECT YOUR FILM + SUBMIT YOUR CONTRACT

  • As soon as you have selected the film you wish to screen, have picked a place and your exact screening date, submit your signed Screening Contract listing your chosen Film Title, Screening Date, Venue information.

STEP 3 PLAN YOUR EVENT

  • Within 72 hours of submitting your Screening Contract you will receive a link to download the film and marketing materials (Film Stills/ Logos)
  • Download the Film and Image files.
  • Create invitations to promote your:  “SIMA x Community Film Screening Presented by World Merit”
  • Invite guest speakers/ organizations for a discussion after the film.
  • Use the Community Screening Guidebook in your Welcome Kit to assist with your event planning.

STEP 4 HOST YOUR EVENT

  • Host your event before OR on July 24th (World Merit Day) and bring your community together around the SDG you care about.
  • After the screening, facilitate a discussion and collect feedback from the audience.
  • Don’t forget to take pictures and/or video.

STEP 5 REPORT YOUR IMPACT 

  • The deadline to report your impact is July 31.
  • After your event, submit your Impact Report and Audience Feedback
  • Upload Photos + Videos to your personal SIMAx FOLDER (link is provided with the ‘SIMA FilmDownload’ email)
  • Share Photos and Videos via the World Merit Impact App with hashtags: #SIMAx #worldmerit
  • Tag speakers and discussion topics w/hashtags: #SIMAx #worldmerit
