12 HOURS is a very personal short film written (and being directed and produced) based on experiences as a single mother of a son who has suffered from substance use disorder since he was fourteen years old. He is now 29, homeless in San Francisco, and addicted to fentanyl. The experience often involved doing things that would not normally be done, such as searching for the son at all hours of the night in dangerous places when he would go missing. 12 HOURS is a suspenseful film that follows a single mom, Lena, who searches for her missing fentanyl-addicted teenage son over the course of twelve hours while experiencing the five stages of grief: denial, bargaining, depression, anger, and acceptance. It is a proof of concept for a feature; however, it is also a standalone film.
