Everything happening right now in America happened 70 years ago. Lists were made. Suspected gays were on those lists. Black and Native Americans were on those lists. Scientists. Intellects. Feminists. American families were on those lists. The U.S. government purged employees and disappeared these families in the name of national security. That was then. Only now, technology raises the stakes and those who pull its levers shape the terms of peace. We tell ourselves the story of America we want to believe, the one that makes us feel comfortable and reminds us we’re safe. But it’s not the enemy within our country we must face, it’s the one inside ourselves. America is at a crossroads, and Committed holds up a mirror.
