Lucha and the Ekeko
In collaboration with other organizations, Cool Breeze Communications creates original programs and media tools that cleverly weave entertainment and community outreach. In solidarity with advocates for foster care and adoption, our short video strengthens positive narratives around and to highlights the importance of foster care and adoption as ways to provide loving, permanent homes for some of the most vulnerable children. In addition, by interweaving themes of immigration and motherhood, we believe our short video can also serve as a media “tool”—supporting legal professionals, educators, and social workers in their work to raise awareness of the lingering and devastating consequences that the Zero-Tolerance “family separation” policy has caused migrant mothers, children and families.
