TENDER is a profound, visually arresting, and deeply symbolic short film that explores humanity’s relationship with cattle, through a surreal and poetic lens. In this alternate realty, cattle is presented in human form: this simple switch, brings to the surface a multitude of ethical ecological issues. The juxtaposition of the anthropomorphic cow-like figures and the industrialised realities of livestock farming invites the viewer to rethink their relationship and daily choices concerning cattle and wildlife as a whole – supporting the Meat Free Monday mission.
The Eco fantasy narrative oscillates between beauty and brutality, taking the audience on an emotional journey through the life cycle of a single cow. Our story goes for the heart, aiming for our viewers to engage emotionally with a animal that has been exploited for thousands of year.
Keeping in line with the success of our short film Wild Summon in raising awareness of the plight of the Salmon in mainstream media, we are aiming to create a cinematic piece that will resonate with a wider audience. By mixing genres of Sci-fi, Documentary and art films, we will create a powerful genre bending piece , that will make people think and feel.
