Simon, a nerdy, biracial teen, is a hopeless romantic who has long struggled with his confidence and identity in an environment that rejects his identity, and his existence is invisible. That is, until he has a run-in with Kimora, a posh, popular belle and one of the only other Black students in school. Despite already having a no-good older boyfriend, Simon is convinced that Kimora might like him back. His best friend, Henry, a fellow Black nerd and gamer, tells him that a Black girl like Kimora would never give him a chance and that he should stick with the easy girls like he does. That is until, Henry gets the hots for Kimora’s best friend Jessica, one of the only other Black girls in the school, and his whole perspective on dating changes. Both boys, as hard as they try, can’t seem to bag the girls of their dreams. Can Simon win Kimora over, or will he succumb to his social ostracization and the pressures of dating as a nerdy Black kid in an predominately-white enviornment?
